Abstract

Dr. Saleem Akhtar is a great name of Urdu literature. He wrote criticism, short stories, autobiography, comedy, travelogues and many others. In last quarter century, he has made many people to read his creative works. Travelogue is one of his important creative works. He travelled five countries and presented their civilization,
culture, politics and social issues in his travelogues. The speciality of his travelogue is that he avoids extra description, details or exaggeration of the events or happening and give informations to his readers, which are based on reality. Being a psychologist, he deeply observes the mental conditions of people and tries to know about their ideas and emotions to find out the reality and truth, without giving his reference, history of Urdu travelogue is incomplete۔
