Abstract

This research paper is about the analytical study of language, linguistics, phonetics and phonemics. It includes primary definitions of these four terms endorsed by the classical experts of language studies.Further, it is followed by the important discussions about the jurisdictive parts of these area topics. Discussions about these interrelated topics have been made into chronological/historical order. Different linguistics’ opinions and findings have also been compared with one another. For example, there has been found clear difference amongst the linguistics upon the number of human speech parts. Gayan Chand has enumerated comparatively the maximum number of phonetic organs, i.e., equivalent to 22. The research paper provides basic research oriented information about the basic areas of language. It is significant for the students of linguistics, phonetics and phonemics. The article’s findings, conclusions and recommendations are not only relavant for the scholars of urdu language but it is highly useful for the scholars of other languages, too.
