Abstract
This article explores the historical dynamics of early translations of the western short stories having psychological aspects. Early Urdu translators like syed Tafazul Hussain, Salahudin Usman and Malik Ram translated the English short stories in to the Urdu and introduced the psychological problems of the fictional characters. In the beginning of the 20th Century these translations introduced the psychological problems like Phobia. The Urdu short story influenced by these translations.
