In poetry, Form is a patron in which any topic or idea is shaped. Qayyum Nazar is a modern poet and one of the pioneers of Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq. He also worked prominently in transforming the western forms of poetry into Urdu along with Noon Meem Rashid and Meeraji. It was essential for him to adopt this patron because whatever he wanted to convey and the way he wanted to express, was only possible through these forms. Qayyum Nazar has evolved most of these poetic forms from the existing forms of Urdu. But it must be kept in mind that some forms are modern like Stanza, Blank verse, Free verse and their allied forms. These forms and their usages are discussed in this dissertation. So, we can say that Qayyum Nazar maintains his individuality through the use of images, symbols, metaphors and modern poetic forms.
