Abstract
It is said that literature is life as it reflects different aspects of life. Writers cover every fact of life, including social issues, in their writings. As such, children which are an important segment of any society have also been expensively covered in Urdu literature. Urdu short stories in particular have focused on social, economic, psychological, sexual and physical issues faced by children. This paper deals with the children characters and issues presented in Urdu short stories, who were abused in different ways by the society.
