The study aims at presenting Molana Altaf Hussain Hali at first literary review writer of the Urdu literature.The research deals with the questions how Hali provided the base of review writting and his own role and place as a literary reviewer. Hali inspired the next generations of Urdu critics and writers through his review writings.He enlarged the canvas of review writing by differentiating between review and literary criticism.
