Abstract
Kanwar Oodhy Bhaan, is a tale written by Sayyed Insha Ullah
Khan Insha. This tale is a fine piece of modernity. It was compiled in
1803. This tale was completed out side in the Fort William College. It was
written in an era when the prose movement of Fort Willian College was on
the extreme. Sayyed Insha has not used even a single word of Arabic and
Persian in it. Many editors have completed this tale among them the
names of Molvi Abdul Haq, Molana Imtiaz Ali Khan Arshi, Intizar
Hussain, Dr. Abdul Sattar Delvi, Sayyed Qudrat Naqvi, Dr. Sulaiman
Hussain, Dr. Shareef Ahmed Qureshi and Ikram Chughtai are included. In
this article the review of this editing tradition has been analysed.
