Abstract

Allama Iqbal was the top most voice of Urdu poetry in 20th

century. He is called the poet of the East in subcontinent. He wasbrought

upandgoteducationincolonialeraof subcontinent under the educational

system given by the English rulers.He observed the positive andnegative

aspects of the colonial rule and the customs of the colonizers here. He

keenly examined the colonial behaviors with the natives specially the

Muslims of India. He, in his first Urdu poetry book (BangDeDDara),

criticized the colonial unwanted social, economic and educational changes

in the society and presented his antiDcolonial theory in the book named

BangDe–Dara. This article shows the PostDColonial study of this book by

Iqbal along with his anticolonial Theory.
