Abstract

Mumtaz Mufti is an eminent and unique writer of Urdu short stories. Initially influenced by psychology of Frued and Yong, his short stories are good blend of mystic approach, romanticism combined with Greek and Hindu mythologies. He has used a large variety of metaphysical elements in his different short stories. In this article an endeavour has been made to highlight various facets of metaphysical elements used in his short stories.
