Abstract
Allama Iqbal used the terminology of "Spirtual Democracy" in the last passge of his sixth lecture entitled "Principle of Movement in the structure of Islam" included in his thoughtful work, "Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam". In an conference held in January, 2013 in Islamabad, the Iqbal's Idea of spirtual democracy was criticised by some intelectuals which is being discussed in this article, in the context of Iqbal's thoughts.
