Abstract
Jose Saramago has represented the reverse progress of pseudo "civilised"
modern man in his novel "andhay log". This article points out sources of contemporary
blinded lifestyle in saramago's fiction. Morover, this article also discusses the wide
prospect in which the metaphor of 'blindness' has been used by Jose Saramago.
