Abstract

In the end of nineteenth century and beginning of twentienth century, poetry seemed to overpower ghazal goi. In this context where ghazal has been ignored and rejected, a prominent name is Josh Malih Abadi. He objected on ghazal thoughtfully and technically. But the expression of his creative personality was very clear in both ghazal and poem. Inspite of all the efforts, he could not break the bond between ghazal goi and himself. It reflects the same contradiction based on thoughtfulness and creativity.
