Abstract
In this article, the thought and works of Shah Waliullah are discussed in the perspective of renaissance of Muslim community. He translated the Quran into Persian and revived the study of Hadith. In his Arabic and Persian books, he showed how the Muslim society and government might be amended by truly Islamic principles.
