Abstract
This article deals with Qasis-e-Hind, Vol 2. written by Molvi Mohammad Hussain Azaad in the context of Historicism and New Historicism. This term was coined by Stephan Greenblat. New Historicism is body of theoretical and interpretive practices. Famous French intellectual and Post-Modern thinker Micheal Foucault's vision about the relation of power and knowledge also works as a black ground in this field of Literary Criticism. Azaad text about Mehmood Ghaznavi, Akbar The Great, Aurangzaib, Siva ji and some female historical personalities. Azaad subverts the ideological construction of these characters made after 1857. Muslim and Hindu historians mythicised these persons, but Azaad's point of view helps us to deconstruct these myths.
