Abstract

The elements of iqbal's spiritual and intellectual attachment to Maulana Rumi
are evident in iqbal's persian poetry which have been less manifested in his urdu
poetry. This article brings forth written manuscript of iqbal's more impotant poem
"peer o murshid" taken from iqbal's personal diary. Written manuscripts are of basic
import in research. Besides this affinity and attachment, this loem revolves around its
contemporary question and answers. The essayist presented the text of hand written
poem by iqbal and paved the way for its comparison and analysis in juxtaposition with
the printed poem.
