Ups and downs are an integral part of national life. Nations have to face the challenges at various times of history. During crisis, the national thought becomes split into various dimensions. Such in the case of Ottoman Empire. At the end of nineteenth and beginning of 20th century, Ottomans were in crisis. At last, Mustafa Kamal Pasha declared it to be western republic. He tried to reform every walk of life on western pattern. During Ottoman crisis, Prince Said Halim Pasha presented his thought that the Muslims should remain adhered to the Islamic teachings. Western scientific knowledge and technological progress may be adopted in the Muslim World but not the social norms. He opined that the solution of the crisis of Muslim World is in unity and the Islamic teachings.
