Abstract

The Quranic translations and commentaries were started in Persian and Urdu
languages earlier but in Punjabi this tradition was very common in the 2nd half of the
Nineteenth Century. This article deals with the analytical study of Tafseer Muhammad
Ameeni written by Molvi Muhammad Umer Ataaliya who attributed his work to his
Murshid Hazrat Ameen sindhi shah Naqshbnadi Aalomuharvi.
