Abstract
(Majlis e Tarraqi Adab has played important role in the development,
preservation of Urdu literature and the tradition of Tadveen e Matn. Many Classical
Urdu poetry and prose texts have been edited and published by this institute. This
article gives an overview of the role and contributions of Majlis e Taraqqi e Adab
covering most of its prominent textual Scholars and poetic works.
