Abstract
Syed Waris Shah is a great poet of Punjabi language and literature. His
poetical work Heer gained a remarkable appeiciation all over the world. Heer by Waris
Shah is not a tale of the love between Heer and Ranjha but also a source of spirtualism,
wisdome and socio-economic history of the Punjab. This article deals with the
analytical study of Heer Waris Shah as an Encyclopedia of the Punjab.
