Abstract

Female writers of modern urdu poetry have written on various social, political issues and have also criticized such human behaviours and also attempted to poetically narrate the obstacles emergent problems of the society wich tend to obstruct the modernity and human freedom. They have amply elaborated the selfish and hypocritic position of men angainst women. Besides, they appear to have also criticized such male chauvinism through which the men persist to see the women through their physical being alone. Modren female writers have more particularly, through the medium of urdu poem, have demonstrated their unbending rejection to various social taboos and uncalled for dictats while raising questions on male dominance.Feminist poetesses of urdu mainly revolve their poems aruondboldness, rebellion and protest, without falling prey to pseudo intellectualism.
