In the Pakistani Urdu Ghazal there has always been a part of Sufism attached to it. Sufism has
enlightened the Pakistani Urdu Ghazal with Sufi thoughts and views. Sufi way of thinking has made the
complete Pakistani Urdu Ghazal unique and nearer to the classic ghazal. Since 1947, the Pakistani Urdu
Ghazal has given poetic form to the important experiences and rich dimensions of Sufism. It is the
specialty of the Pakistani Urdu Ghazal that it has absorbed Sufism into itself.
