Abstract
In the early twentieth century Shamsul Ulama Tajwar Najeebabadi was
eminent Scholar of urdu language and literature. He was a creative writer and critic
who prologued and promoted new trends and thoughts in all fields of urdu literature
and language. The markable literary magazines which be published as an editor were
"Makhzan", "Hamaun", "Adbi Dundia" and "Shahkar". His efforts to elevate and
advocate modren tendency of litrature continued tisll his death in 1951 at Lahore.
