Abstract

Meer Taqi Meer is the most popular urdu classic poet. His poetry has a significant social perspective. Zikr-e-Meer is an interesting autobiography which contains details of contemporary events. In this article, it is explored that how much Meer was influenced by his contemporary social uncertain circumstances. Meer depicts the whole situation as an eye-witness of man-eating like Nadir Shah and  Ahmad Shah Abdali attacks on Dilli.
