Abstract

While considering compilations about Sa'di, it can be said that the history of Sa'diology in the sub-continent, spread over four hundred years. Although in the history of literature, the fame of Golistan is marvellous, Bustan is also known as a masterpiece of Sa'di. In the sub-continent seventy fourcommentaries have been compiled in Urdu and Persian languages. This number in the sub-continent is so
great, that no other region including Iran, can claim this much research on the Bustan. Considering this fact, one can easily guess about Sa'di's impact on the civilisation and culture of this area.
