Abstract

Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the poet, philosopher and politician, expressed strong views on various political and social issues of his time, including the colonial struggles of Muslim nations. He has reflective observation about Muslims struggling in Tripoli, Edirne, Balkans, Palestine etc. Iqbal has expressed deep concern for the suffering of innocent people during wars, particularly those who were caught in the crossfire of colonial conflicts. Iqbal pays tribute to Freedom fighters of Tripoli against Italian occupation. After passing a century, the situation in the central Asia especially in Arab world is same. There is unrest in Libya, Syria, Yamen, Lebanon and Palestine.              In this article, situation of a century ago will be discussed under the light of Iqbal’s point of view expressed in Bang e Dara’s poems like Shikwa, Jawab e Shikwa, Hazoor Rasalat Ma’ab mein, Fatimah bint Abdullah, Muhasra e Erdna, Dariyuza e Khilafat, Shama aur Shaer,Khizr e Rah and Tulu e Islam. Furthermore, current situation of Arab world specifically situation of Gaza, Libya, Syria, Yamen, Lebanon and Palestine will be discussed.
