Abstract

Politics and literature are intrinsically intertwined. A literary work that fails to depict political dynamics and societal changes cannot deeply resonate with the masses. Social transformations have historically influenced contemporary writers. Politics, too, is a crucial component of the modern novel, alongside the other characteristics. The contemporary writer is often deeply enmeshed in the political sphere, acutely aware of its intricacies. Writers from this milieu have consciously portrayed social and political occurrences. Urdu novel written after the independence of the Indian Subcontinent vividly illustrate the impact of political events on various segments of society.
