Abstract

The Guzashta-e-Lukhnow is an important cultural milestone in Urdu literature side by side with Delhi. This is the sixth time that Dr. Ikram Chughtai has edited this cultural history of Sharar. He has tried to make it more authentic than the previous versions in terms of research, but the dictionary included in the book has made this research work eclipsed. Mazhar Mehmood Sherani, in his long essay, has strongly criticized his research based book;this article is based on Dr. Sheranis long essay and focuses on the errors which have created a ridiculous situation.
