Abstract

Post colonialism is the discourse of understanding and interpretation of literary texts in the societies emerging from the colonial system of the Western imperialism. Their central concern is the reiteration of lost and dwindling cultural indigeneity. This article explores the issues of the imperialist and postcolonial narratives in Urdu novel in the light of the postcolonial discursive strategies theorized by Edward Said. Garaan, KhasDoDKhashaak Zamanay, Zeno, Qala Jangi, Ghulam Baagh, Zena, and Mantaara have been analyzed from this postcolonial perspective.
