Abstract

This article tends to explore the variety of thoughts of Rumi in association with Quranic etymological allusion in his couplets. Rumi alludes within the Quranic perspective on various subject matters such as being and unbeing, origin of life from nothingness, man's creation and creation of universe,existence and extinction, morality and nature of human beings, religions, faith, prophets' parables, historical events narrated in Quran,commandments of Almighty,nature and roleof truth in our lives and on many other subjects. Rumi tends to make a very explicit reference to the Holy Quran in authenticating his exemplums which makes  a powerful influence on his style of expression.This article is a key attempt to explore the novel persuasiveness and cogency within the pretext of Quranic Allusions, used in his poetry on various subject matters.
