Abstract

Mustansar Hussain Tarrar is a renowned Urdu travelogue writer,novelist and columnist. He has introduced Northern Pakistan in rest of the country by writing many travelogues about these areas. This article depicts presentation of different aspects of local culture of Northern Pakistan like consuetude, social behaviour, ethics, social values, beliefs, living style, traditions, architecture, clothing, food, occupations, linguistics and folk literature in his travelogues. This cultural study include his travelogues like Hunza Dastan, Safar Shumal key, Chitral Dastan, Nanga Parbat Baltistan Dastan, K2 Kahani, Yalk Saraye, Snow Lake, Deo Sai, Shamshal Beymisal, Barfili Bulandian, Ratti Gali, Rakaposhi Nagar and Haramosh Naqable Faramosh.
