Abstract

A befitting depiction of social life and cultural diversity of the people residing i n the West has been made through the Urdu travelogues. The Urdu travelogues have presented such deeds, concepts, values, habit  and customs of the West which have direct link with their social conscious and collective life. The article sheds life on the select aspects of Western society and culture which have been portrayed by Urdu travelogues. They include Mustansir Husain Tarar, Syed Muhammad Kazim, Mehmoud Nizami, A.B Ashraf, Qamar Ali Abbasi and Salma Awan.
