Abstract

Ratan Singh Zakhmi is a famous poet of the 13th century. He is a discipe of Muhammad Hassan Qateel in poetry. While Zakhmi is primarily a poet of the ghazal,his Diwan contains other genres as well. Following the traditoin of great classical poets, he has also written the rubayi and has presented the typical topics of rubayi in a fresh idiom. This article briefly evaluates selected rubayi's of Ratan Singh Zakhmi.
