Abstract

Ghazal is an old form of Persian and Urdu poetry. From Rodki to the latest Urdu Ghazal writer every poet tried his utmost to express himself in this form. Several poets throughout the literary history of Persian and Urdu poetry expressed their
uniqueness in their Ghazals. From Meer to Zafar Iqbal many Urdu poets with their innovative approaches brought healthy changes as far as this form is concerned. Zafar iqabal with his absurd and sublime meaning patterns expressed in his Ghazals, always impresses his readers. They flying colours of his thousands of Ghazals through their strange attractions, have immense appeal for the readers of Urdu poetry. Zafar Iqbal claims that every Ghazal writer wants to improve his poetry by writing Ghazals. But in spite of that this form was not attracting the genuine readers. He accepted the challenge of bringing this form to its toe, by trying to explore the a few more possibilities of this form.
