Abstract

Urdu Journalism has maintained a course of more than two hundred years inSub continent, and has been a revolutionary medium for fighting for rights of public ingeneral and for Muslims in particular. It has gone through various phases since thebeginning. This article deals with the analysis of British Acts of censorship on Pressand also with the role the Urdu Press played especially during the war of Independence.
