Abstract

In Lahore, during colonial era Islamic and Christian religious activities wereat their peak. The basic reason of which was that with the arrival of Britishers therestarted a tug of war between western and eastern cultural values, new and oldeducation system and among different schools of thought along with Islam andChristianity. As a result, Urdu prose expanded in religious writings and its capability
increased to meet the requirements to the best of its abilities and a worth mentioningstorage of religious writings came into being. During colonial era, Lahore was thecentre of attention in terms of religious activities. From religious point of view, anambience of dialogue was prevalent at that time therefore most of the writings werebased on discussions and dialogues. Such a religious literature is being highlighted atlength in this essay with great curiosity and research.
