Abstract

Tareekh Goi (Chronogram) is a genre of Urdu Poetry in which the date of birth or date of death or that of any other occasion is expressed in verses. In this way the specific number which stands for each alphabet is counted to get its some total (required year). In this article the discussion focuses on Tareekh Goi of Kisra Minhas who is not only a famous Urdu poet but also a critic.
