In its just over a century's journey, Urdu Short story has progressed vertically and horizontally. One can finds big guns in almost every work on Urdu Short story, but some important names did not get proper place in the Urdu criticism, John Bull aka Sultan Haider Josh is one of them. He is important among the premier Urdu short story writers. In this article his art of fiction is analyzed in light of his time and life. The article is an introduction of this under listened voice of Urdu Short story.
